The legendary Siegfried, Germanys version of St. George, is a central character in the saga of Nibelungenlied, which involves the usual rescue of maiden in distress etc. It was necessary, of course, that our hero slay a dragon somewhere along the way and Denix has commemorated that feat by producing one of the best dragonesque dagger designs weve seen. The dragons head and wings form the hilt, while the body and tail are continued to the end of the scabbard, making this a striking piece for dragon fans. The blades of Denix daggers and swords are cast from a metal alloy and cannot be sharpened, making them safe for display in family environments.
