Charlemagne (Charles the Great) was a great Medieval Warrior and Leader. "By the sword and the cross," he became master of Western Europe.

Through his enlightened leadership the roots of learning and order were restored to Medieval Europe.

His medieval shield is made of 20 gauge steel and hand-painted white and navy blue with an antique finish for an authentic look and feel. The accents are real brass which add realism and value to the shield.

It comes with a chain already attached for immediate display.

To increase it's grandeur, this medieval shield comes with two brackets for mounted a pair of crossed swords (a panoply) to the back.
